The Level 2 Award in PTW Receiver qualification is designed to provide essential training for those who are responsible for managing and receiving work permits in high-risk environments. This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to understand and safely operate Permit to Work (PTW) systems, which are crucial for maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. Topics covered include risk assessment, hazard identification, control measures, and the proper procedures for issuing and receiving work permits. Participants will also learn how to assess and manage the potential risks associated with high-risk activities.
Who Needs This Qualification?
This qualification is ideal for individuals who are involved in managing or receiving work permits within high-risk industries such as construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, and energy. It is particularly relevant for site managers, supervisors, safety officers, and anyone responsible for ensuring compliance with PTW systems. The course is also beneficial for those who want to enhance their understanding of safety protocols in environments where work permits are essential for controlling risks associated with hazardous activities.
What’s the estimated duration?
The Level 2 Award in PTW Receiver course lasts 22 hours. The training is delivered through a combination of theory and practical exercises to ensure participants are fully equipped to handle real-world scenarios. At the end of the course, participants will sit an MCQ-based exam to assess their knowledge and understanding of the PTW system, ensuring they are well-prepared to safely receive work permits and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
Upon completion of each module in the Level 2 Award in PTW Receiver course, participants must successfully pass a 10-question quiz to move forward. A minimum score of 70% is required to proceed, and participants are given three attempts to achieve the passing score for each quiz. If the participant fails to meet the passing score within the three attempts, they will be locked out of the course and unable to continue with the online training format for the Outreach training.
After completing the module quizzes, participants must pass a final exam to gain full credit for the course. The final exam consists of 20 questions, testing participants’ understanding of the entire course material.
Similar to the module quizzes, participants are allowed up to three attempts to pass the final exam. If the participant is unable to pass the exam after three attempts, they will be disqualified from continuing the online training for their Outreach certification. This assessment structure ensures that participants are fully equipped with the knowledge and skills required to safely and effectively perform their duties as PTW Receivers.
